Hannah and Tim were another of the families who took advantage of my limited availability Easter mini sessions at Kingswood. I had met Hannah before when I did some lovely family photos with her sister and mum Beth a few years back, so it was great to see her again as well as her partner and gorgeous little boy! We had a great time chatting and catching up, and of course capturing some lovely photographs of the three of them. It's soon to be their son's 1st birthday so they wanted to have their session as a little pre-birthday gift and get some great photos at the same time. I think we achieved that!
This year I decided to try out something a little different and offer families the chance to have a mini session instead of my usual full hour portraiture shoots. With the Easter holidays soon to begin I set aside a few weeks and chose a lovely spot at the Kingswood between Ashford and Canterbury. These guys were the first of my bookings and we had a great time exploring the countryside and getting stuck in to the forest scenery and the leaves. Thankfully we missed the rain (just!) and the four of them had a great time and managed to pick out some beautiful photographs at the end from their online gallery - job done!
Beth got in touch with me late in 2015 after seeing the photos I took of her daughter and her family (Megan, Keiren and Jacob) as she wanted some lovely natural photos taken of the rest of the family too! We were amazingly lucky with the weather, though it was a bit breezy, out on the hillside near Lyminge where we snapped a few in the sunshine before returning to her lovely cottage for some cosy photos indoors - complete with steaming hot cups of coffee!
Sometimes it can be hard to stay in contact with old friends or work colleagues, but Megan was one of those who I did stay in touch with, and we always discussed the idea of a photoshoot with her son Jacob. Eventually we got the ball rolling and she brought her partner Kieren along too. We managed to find a nice day in late November and headed to Brockhill Country Park near Hythe, where the autumn colours were out in full force. Despite Jacob having bags of energy and a fascination for big sticks, we got some lovely photos of the three of them!
Jacob's parents, Sam and Chris, popped in to see me on Halloween as one of the last to take advantage of my newborn photography offer. As with the little bundles of joy before him, Jacob was perfectly well behaved and we had great fun posing him with a few new props to play with before mum and dad got in on the act for some lovely portraits of the three of them at the end.
Charlotte and Olly got in touch with me after Charlotte's sister mentioned that I now did newborn photography, and we quickly got the ball rolling and organised a shoot one evening. The session was over before we knew it but and we had a great selection of outfits to choose from - I think its fair to say he rocked it in the batman onesie! Such a cute little boy and clearly awesome parents too.
I had the chance to pop in to see Alex, Anna and baby Noah on my way to spend a week in the Lake District, and we caught the lovely morning light just perfectly in their living room while they all had a play session and a nap - all the excitement clearly tuckered little baby Noah out. They all look gorgeous, with Alex and Anna making parenting look easy.
After running a promotion for a free baby photo shoot, I was thrilled to meet this lovely family and their two adorable twin girls. Eve & Sophia were total characters and with their matching dresses they looked unbelievably cute! The rest of the family got involved with a few of the pictures and I loved how they turned out.
