Etchinghill Golf Club Summer Wedding with Daniel & Kirsty

As much as I love exploring new venues across the country, it's also nice to have a wedding a bit closer to home, too. Etchinghill is only a short drive from me, so this made for a great end to a busy August, and a very busy summer for me in 2021. Daniel & Kirsty had opted for my 8-hour package, and because of the timings on the day, we even managed to squeeze in some bridal prep before the late ceremony, something that isn't usually possible.

Kirsty and the girls had booked an air BnB near Folkestone town centre to get ready. There was quite a lot going on and not much space, but I was still able to get lots of great bridal prep photos, and some of Kirsty's wedding details as well, before it was time to head to Etchinghill Golf Club before the ceremony.

Guests were already beginning to arrive, and there was a definite excitement in the air. Daniel was a little bit nervous though, but thankfully he had his band of groomsmen to keep his anxiety in check and offer some words of advice. Despite that, there were still a few tears during the ceremony on both sides, and even from Daniel & Kirsty's children, which I thought was really sweet!

After a few drinks and some group photos against the backdrop of the golf course, it was time for the wedding breakfast - a buffet for a change, and a nice informal alternative to a 3-course sit down meal. The cake cut and speeches followed, and as the sun began to set, I persuaded Daniel & Kirsty to head back outside for some lovely romantic photos of the two of them before their evening guests arrived.

Inside, the music had already begun, and everyone was dancing away even before the couple's first dance. Then, everyone gave Daniel & Kirsty a bit of space while they had their moment together as their friends and family looked on. This was the end of a really emotional day for the two of them and their children, but that's what a wedding should be all about, and I've no doubt they were glad to have a photographer there to capture the day as it happened.
