Your Rights

In accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998, as a private individual you have a right to know what data is held about you at any time.  This act ensures that your personal data is protected and not passed onto a third party without your prior consent.  Requests for such information may be made using the details under the last section.  You also have a right to be forgotten, and may request at any stage that any data held about you is destroyed in all forms and locations as it feasible at the time.

Data Collection, Processing and Storage

Personal information given and submitted using the gift vouchers order form, the main contact form and any availability contact forms are given freely and at your discretion.  This consists of your name, email address, telephone number, postal address and any further information that you deem to be relevant for the purpose you are contacting me or enquiring about.  Any further information given by you is again relevant to this purpose and serves to ensure a more complete and personalised service or as a requirement as part of a booking form, model release or contract in securing a photography service.

This data is processed initially by the parent company who act as the data controllers to enable the proper delivery of the services required.  No data is ever sold to third parties for any purpose and is only freely given with your consent where it is beneficial to you as a client.  Eg image data will be uploaded in the ordering process of printed products such as albums, canvases and prints.  Key details may be passed on in the form of a referral to enable another photographer to assist with supplying a service to you if I am unavailable, or you require a different service to those I am able to provide.  Again this is given without express prior consent.

Certain details (including but not limited to) your name and wedding/photo shoot location and image data generated as a result of a service you have received will be used to promote the parent company in accordance with release forms and contracts that are signed as part of the service.  Signing of these forms without any other written objection or otherwise will be deemed to be your consent to this promotion.  It is your right as stated that if you object to use of this data and/or images after they have been used for this purpose you may inform the parent company of this and due steps will be taken to remove this material as is feasible at the time.

Storage of relevant data begins from the initial point of contact and continues to the point of complete delivery of the service (as appropriate) and will continue in the form of digital means and physical copies of contracts and related paperwork.  This continued storage is to ensure matters relating to the original contact and service(s) can be resolved, amended or additional services rendered in a timely fashion.

All data held online about an individual who received a service will be destroyed after a period of 7 years from the last point of relevant contact with the parent company, with the exception of paper copies of releases and contracts which will be securely kept in the event of legal action or disagreements occurring after services or products have been rendered.

Image data held of individuals will also remain so that they can be used by the parent company for marketing and advertising purposes as stated and agreed to in any and all signed releases and contracts.  All data about an individual who does not receive a service will be destroyed after a period of 60 days from the last point of relevant contact with the parent company.
